Moving On

I've been making quite a few trips back and forth to Austin in the past few months for many reasons. One of the biggest reasons is because the husband got an amazing job opportunity out there so I'll officially be moving back at the end of this month. That's honestly why I've been so absent. I was basically on pins and needles figuring out all the details but we can finally put the word out and we are so happy!

One of the trips down there I got to do a mini shoot with my best friend, Kaitlyn. We're basically sisters and it's pretty odd that I've only taken her picture this way maybe one other time. But this babe better get used to it (and you guys too) because she'll be around the blog a lot more.

Shall I Compare Thee to a Summer's day?

Since Summer will be officially over in a few short days and I'm just spending some time reminiscing. Specifically this rainy Houston day with Kat back when we had free time to travel to one another, hah. I'm missing this girl like crazy and all her sunshine personality. Mostly because I can't walk past a Forever 21 without seeing a Shakespearean quote or two, but I'm not hating the trend!

Familiarity

*note the theme jumps a little bit for the last three photos. Ally and I are just attracted to the most colorful walls in the city.

I took these a few weeks ago with Ally and I'm not exactly sure what prompted it other then the fact to finish off some film that was left in my 35mm. We started out in a familiar place and then explored the city for a bit for something a little different. I love the bring colors against her monochrome outfit and bold blondness!

The Swan

Last month I got the pleasure of seeing Kat for a day or two as right before she went off to Houston to start Grad School!! I'm so incredibly proud of her and everything she's done so far. Plus, I mean, Houston is basically down the street compared to Wyoming. More then anything, I'm excited to see her perform which is something I've been dying to witness over the years and distance. (behind the scenes in video below is worth the watch! Kat is enchanting.)

I can't wait to have some fun in Houston with you soon, Kitten xoxo

Over The Bridge

I took pictures on the other side of this bridge with Kat back in December. It's crazy how different the places look on winter morning versus a summer evening. Either way both sets are beautiful and close to my heart. I think this one of my favorite places in the city. Loud and busy over 360 watching cars drive pass. I wouldn't advise if you're afraid of heights, cars or don't like people honking at you.

made another behind the scenes video for those who missed it.

Reflections and Beginnings.

I've pretty much been neglecting all internet responsibilities since Thanksgiving. I've basically switched retail jobs and this Christmas season has pretty much wrecked my social productivity. I mean, that's really the holiday season for everyone though.

Next year I'm definitely making photography a bigger priority and taking bigger strides to do it full time within the next few years while Reggie finishes getting his degree. Everything in the universe is telling me it's time to move forward and everyones telling me, "yeah, you can do this!" That's all I can really say about anything right now. You never know when something crazy can drop out of the sky (which is something that 2013 has definitely taught me!) I will say I'm doing a make over on this site so everyone might be seeing more of it.

Speaking of 2013, it's been a big big year. I know it's only Christmas Eve and I've got a whole week to go but I always feel like after Christmas the year is basically over. I'm so happy for all the opportunities that have been placed in front of me and the awesome events I've been able to shoot! Also this year has felt like my best photographic growth yet! I have some big ideas and goals in mind for this 2014.

Now to the good stuff...
