2015

The only thing I'm truly disappointed about in this year is my lack of shoots. I only have myself to blame, but for 2016 I have some amazing things up my sleeve...at least I'd like to think so. I want to focus more on living outside of the box when shooting. I don't really have a choice in that since moving anyways and I've been on the look out for some good scenery (which is my favorite part about being back in Austin).

But here's a bit of what I did get done this year. See ya, 2015. On to the next one...

Stay Gold

Let me level with you...

I spent a lot of this year losing and finding myself. What do I want to do, what am I going to do about said do, etc. I stumble upon some crippling self doubt at times and ride it out and it's never done me any good so I'm doing something about it.

My goal is to double my shoots every year at least until I found my stride.  This is the first year I've failed at record low for me. I don't know what happen and maybe it was just life in general getting in the way, but was disappointed coming into November.
But then I got inspired in a new way and have built my confidence by challenging myself. So far, I am very happy with the results! I see myself becoming better and more fierce with every passing day.

The point is that I'm ready to make this my full time thing and that's what I'll be pursuing in the next year and a half. As every year, I plan to shoot more and be better but I also plan to go places and see a lot more. 2015 is all about coming out a stronger photographer.

I'm planning to see a lot more of this place.

2011 Reflection

This year I especially experienced a lot of growth photographically. Maybe more then I have in any years past. To say the least, it was extremely unexpected and suffered through a lot emotionally. Moving to a new city, away from everything I've known and loved for my entire life, that can really kill inspiration but it can also really help it flourish. In the beginning of the year I expressed so much through photography with myself. I was starting to find out who I was artistically and my own personal style.

Summer came and went, then the semester began and I took a photo class that really changed my perspective. I've learned to love what I was doing again and why I'm perusing it. I'm more confident and reassured then I ever have been. I'm definitely going to be working hard this next year on accomplishing my dream.

Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to read, like, comment and inspire me in the past couple of months. Your support has been so incredible and I can't even describe how thankful I am!
