an Engagement part 1

A pair of best friends, Jasmin and Ricky, got in engaged in Amsterdam this Summer! Not only do I get to take their engagement pictures but I'm apart of the wedding party. Yep, just over here trying to fulfill my bridesmaids duties from 200 miles away, but I'm lucky they're literally the most relaxed pair on the planet.
They wanted to take a couple at the State Fair, which I honestly was skeptical about but everything from the weather to the lighting turned out great! They'll be here in Austin soon to take their fancy photos, but I'm hoping this holds them off until then.

Happy 1st Birthday, Make Up For Ever!

Last Saturday I got the chance to shoot at Make Up For Ever Northpark 1 year anniversary/Aqua event hosted by Sally and Molly from A Piece Of Toast blog. It was extremely fun and the turn out was amazing! I took tons of pictures, got my face done up and chow'd down on some incredible cupcakes.

Events seem to be my theme as of lately, I don't mind a bit! I am missing doing portrait quite bit. I'll definitely be picking up the pace pretty soon in that category and doing some collaborations in the near future. Until then, here's some of the pictures from the event! I wish I could share them all but man, I that would overwhelming.

The beautiful and very sweet Sally and Molly!

Thanks so much Make Up For Ever crew for inviting me out!

Make Up For Ever

In March I did some before and after shoots for the Make Up For Ever store in Dallas. My good friend, Heather (who is assistant manager there) went to the Make Up For Ever school in Paris. Needless to say, I'm totally jealous I'm pretty clueless about make up as it is. Well besides eyeliner, mascara and eyebrow pencil and even there...I'm iffy to be honest. Most days I don't even wear make up and when I say most days, I mean I'll go a week and half without putting on a stick of it. But hey, I'm trying and that's all I can do.

The main shooting I did there was on a sweet girl named Brettlyn who came in to get her make up done for her birthday! She was awesome and Heather is a pro so she got did up really nice. The pictures I took were mostly of the process. I had so much fun doing this and I can't wait to shoot for them again in a few weeks.

The Negrete Family

My friend Alex asked me to take pictures of him, his mom, grandma and brother last weekend! I've never met his whole family before much less knowing that his mom had five boys which will never cease to amaze me. t's amazing how much personality you can see in each brother just by the way all stand next to each other in the pictures.

Anyways, we went to a beautiful park near SMU and let me tell you the area was gorgeous and had some awesome weather to match. I'd never been on that side of town before because I honestly don't do much exploring on my own (which is definitely a goal of mine now!) I'll be dragging a friend or two out there in a couple of weeks I'm sure.
